Its 17 years construction was personally supervised by the first President of Indonesian Republic, Soekarno. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park) is Indonesia’s answer to visitor’s will to see the magnificent archipelago in just one day. The museum houses a vast collection of Indonesian traditional costumes, puppets, musical instruments, masks, and daily life utensils as well as contemporary arts and crafts from the various regions.
