Bogor Heritage

This tour is created to introduce you the heritage of Sundanese (native of West Java people) featuring their nature, ancient artefact, and culture.

Temple of Jagatkarta Gunung Salak

Located almost on the top of Mount Gunung Salak, this Hindus temple was built by the last Hindus emperor in West Java (16th century). They built the shrine sphere to be similar with puras in Bali as an honor to Prabu Siliwangi, the last king of Padjajaran kingdom. Now the temple is not only open for Hindus people, anyone can come to enjoy the majestic pura with natural beauty surrounding the temple. The location is also open for anyone who wants to meditate.

Curug Nangka Waterfall

Enjoy the beautiful view of Curug Nangka that will soothe your eyes and mind. The sensation of being in a narrow place surrounded by high, steep clifs is also a greaut thing to experience.

Curug Nangka or Nangka waterfall is a famous waterfall located at the base of Mount Salak. Here you can enjoy also two other waterfalls in the area, Curug Daun and Curug Kawung.

Wayang Golek (Wooden Puppet Factory)

Wayang golek are wooden doll puppets that are operated from below by rods connected to the hands and a central control rod that runs through the body to the head. Wayang golek is mainly associated with the culture and heritage of Sundanese.

  1. Beautiful trip! It was even possible to join a ceremony at the Hindus temple, very impressive.
Someone from the temple gave an explanation about the ceremony and the temple.

the visiit to the waterfall was also great. Not only the waterfall itself, but also the way going there (through an undeep river, adventurous!) was beautiful.

We visisted also the botanical garden in Bogor, which is very nice. I’ve seen trees I never saw before.
Eko is a great tour guide, his speaks English very well and has a lot of knowledge about the Indonesian culture, nature, politics, traditions etc. And a very friendly man like most Indonesian people.
